This year Marta came to Trnava for an Erasmus experience and now she has come forward to tell you not only about how her first days went, but also about her favorite memories and some advice to new students coming to Trnava! Read all about it down below!!

Q: What were your first days in Slovakia like?

Marta: I was very worried my first days here, and I was a little depressed about leaving my country for such a long time, as I have barely ever left my home before. But I found my flatmates and we were inseparable ever after!! We visited all of the events we could together, and we travelled a lot. I am really glad that this challenge brought us together and even more fun on top of that.

Q: What surprised you the most about Slovakia?

Marta: I would say that Slovak culture and life is quite similar to that of Ukraine, but I still had a lot to discover! One of things that surprised me the most is how beautiful the cities are, even the smallest ones. Oh, and the public transportation is really good you can really travel everywhere practically for free with your ISIC.

Q: What is your favorite memory from your Erasmus experience?

Marta: Oh God, apart from the fact I have met the most wonderful people on this Erasmus who I am still in touch with and I have already visited after my Erasmus, I have also found my now boyfriend of almost a year. This must be the best thing that happened to me here.

Q: If you could give one piece of advice to incoming Erasmus students, what would it be?

Marta: Listen up!!! Forget your doubts and just live to the fullest this semester! Meet new people, visit new places, taste new food and discover new hobbies. This is the time of your life where you don't need to stick to your character everyone around you knows, because we are all new to eachother. Become a new, upadated and better version of yourself on this Erasmus.
