The end of October is slowly but surely becoming not only the time to remember our Lost Ones, but also the day of ghosts and zombies. And who would we be to deny our foreign friends a bit of fear, and mostly loads of fun.

Thursday the 29th, sun set, streets calm and quiet, just a wind bristles through the door as monsters of all kinds fill a cozy café in the Trnava city center with a fitting name, Lighthouse.
After having taken a few moments to settle down, relax and compliment each other's scary masks, it was time to start the party. There were many activities and competitions ready for the Erasmus students. First, while everybody was still full of energy, they could try a small beerpong tournament and more sport disciplines, including a ball slalom (blowing a ball around cups to get it to the finish line).
Those, whose brains were still working after a busy week at school, could test their wit in 'Guess the word' competition, where the words were articulated by one of ESN members, 'Letters', with the goal to come up with as many words as possible, starting with a chosen letter, and certainly the most amusing one, 'Poems', during which the Erasmus students had to match the lyrics of a Slovak poem with its English translation. The tricky part was, to get the points, the player had to read the whole poem. Yes, in Slovak.
Hoping that the students haven't spent all their creativity in the process of thinking up their masks, we capped the evening with some creative activities, including production of chestnut creatures. Non-alcoholic beer was surely the reason why some of them looked like coming from a different planet. Also, music was a necessity to kick the party off, so why not test the participants' knowledge of most popular songs of all times.

And to finish the evening with hauls of uncontrollable laughter, as any witness or passerby would confirm, we played a favorite game called Activity. As easy as it might seem, guessing words and idioms was a challenge, especially at the final phase of the night. And of course, what kind of a Halloween party would it be without a prize for the best mask.
In the end, we were pleased to see that even though the participation wasn't high, all the witches, vampires and demons had fun and left, back to whichever cemeteries or haunted castle they live in, with big smiles on their scary faces.
